Summer slows down around here. Our pace is a little slower, school-year activities are paused, and church events take a hiatus while people are on vacation. And, with little ones (3 of mine happen to be between 6’1 and 6’5 – so not-so-little) home more, it’s hard to get out and about. But what if you are looking for something to do? What if you want to meet with friends? Well then I have a great suggestion: Consider joining the next P31 online study led by Melissa Taylor beginning June 4th.
Of course I’m invested in it because Melissa will be using my book, “I Used to Be So Organized.”
Today I wanted to extend a personal invitation for you to participate. The good news is the study itself is free. However, to get the most out of it, your really need to purchase the book. The book is available through Proverbs 31, Amazon, or most any other bookstore.
If you’ve never participated in one of Melissa’s studies let me share a bit how it works. Once a week you’ll get an email from Melissa with daily instructions. It might be to read a chapter, answer some questions or read a Scripture passage. She’ll also direct you to her blog throughout the week as a way to respond to questions and build community. Then, on Fridays, I’ll pop in with an application point based on the theme of the week. I’ll also assign some “home” work for the weekend. Nothing hard, but something you can easily do and feel a sense of accomplishment.
It’s casual, fun and encouraging. It’s the perfect summer project. Well, the perfect project would be if could all go to each other’s houses, have coffee and help each other. But this is a close second! For all the details and to sign up for the study, go to Melissa’s blog.
To celebrate the beginning of the study, Melissa and I are giving away two copies of my book, “I Used to Be So Organized” and two conference call series that goes along with the calls. I’ll select two winners and each winner will receive a book and call series. The winners will be announced on Monday, June 4th. And we’ll ship the books out asap so you can join the study.
To enter, simply leave a comment. If you are reading this in an email, you’ll need to click here to be taken to my blog. Please don’t hit “reply” as that will not enter you in the contest. And I’m actually out of town this week, so I can’t help by letting you know. So, please visit my blog to leave a comment at www.GlynnisWhitwer.com.
Thank you for joining me today and I can’t wait to be a part of Melissa’s study!
In His love,
Glynnis

How exciting!
Summer is always hard with the bible study breaks.
My last one graduates this weekend. With the graduation party coming up, there are many things to do to get ready. As a “recovering packrat” it’s a challenge but am eager for the opportunity to go through things and organize my space. The timing of the study is fabulous! I look forward to the Bible Study to keep me on track spriritually and keep me moving on the road to becoming more organized – thank you!!
I clicked on the e-mail link you provided, but it didn’t work. To get here, I had to click on the title of this blog entry.
What’s a conference call series?
I checked out your book from the library. I’ve enjoyed it so far.
I used to be organized too. Before I was married and had children to keep up with. I am trying to get back to the state of orginization I had. My youngest is 14 and can help with things around the house.
Also, I do miss my Tuesday morning Bible study. I’m hoping that I can get some of my friends to do this study with me.
So glad to be able to work through some of these things again! thanks!
i am so overwhelmed trying to get things organized, I start with good intentions and then find myself in another room tearing it apart! I am excited to begin this Bible study….yet afraid! :0)
Looking forward to a new beginning!
I always thought of myself as organized but lately I am so overwhelmed at my job I don’t know if I’m coming or going. Look forward to this study!
I’m ready to begin! Summer is a good time for this! Thanks!
I signed up. Can’t wait! I am so glad I found Proverbs 31!
Can’t wait!!! Binders, dividers and baskets here i come!
So ready for this study!!!!
I used to be orgainzed, but stuff happened. Now I need help!
I can’t wait to get started! I was just thinking about how I used to be so organized until… I so want to get that back do that I can be a better servant for the Lord and an example to my children and other women. Thank you for doing this study!
Great time to really study! I’ve been really wanting to read your book.
Great giveaway!
I have wanted to read that book!
Thank you!
I am organized in some areas, but not in others. I am looking forward to learning from you. Thank you for seeing the need and doing this study!
I’m praying this will be the study that truly helps me break through the clutter – in my mind, my heart and my home.
Sounds like fun! I’d love to enter your giveaway
Praying for much needed change after my surgery tomorrow & 6 weeks of recovering! With the lazy days of summer coming, unfortunately I’ve been forced to slow down! I’ve been training for a triathlon for the last 7 months – first one! God willing I’ll have a total of 9 weeks (which includes recovery) until my race of a live time! I’m a firm believer that this is just a bump in the road & the Lord wanted me to slow down a bit, I hopefully will overcome! Blessings for an Awesome bible study!
I love the online study idea
I loved the clutter free challenge and have meant to get the book before…sounds like now’s the time
Fantastic! I’ve been praying (for just the past 2 days) about having a Bible study for the summer, as mine is finishing up this week. Would be fantastic to receive the book; though the communion of other women, plus biblical application will be wonderful also!
Hi! This study sounds interesting. I’ve never participated in an online bible study before. I definitely need to be more organized!
As a social worker\case manager of 15+ families, as,well as wife/mom in my own family, I need to be more organized!!
This will be my first OBS. Sound exciting and I’m looking forward to it!
I have signed up for this study because I need for once to be organized.
I thought I was organized till I had children and found out how unorganized I was.
They seem to not only change your home but also your walk with GOD.
I remember sitting on the couch to have my quiet time with God and He said it was time for my son to be born. I was extactic by the evening I would be a mom.
Now 19 years later and clutter everywhere in my life and home all I want is the peace of that quiet time I once had with my Saviour.
I look forward to this study helping me cultivate what I oncwe had as well as getting my physical house in order.
Awesomeness! I’ll be signing up for the study for sure…what a great way to not make it a “lazy” summer…tho I confess…pretty laid back.
I’m already signed up for the study, but haven’t picked up the book yet. I guess I really need this more than I’d like to admit.
Looking forward to this study. Summer is a great time for organizing for me. Having a little extra time without the school schedule will allow me time to devote to this study.
I am looking forward to this. I did your 15 day challenge, but I did not have the book. I faded out about day 8 vowing to get the book and read it. I never got the book, but will look for it now. I signed up!
I signed up for the study. Know I will benefit from practical advise with God’s help.
I would like to try an online study, thanks!
Ever since I can remember, my mom said I used to be so organized when I was little and got stuck on my oganization until recently. Book is probably all I need to get myself back on track with organization again!
Would love to read the book!
YOU are a angel from heaven. I don’t necessarily consider myself ‘disorganized’ (don’t ask the hubs though!) but i am SO looking forward to the camaraderie of a group as well as the chapters on organizing my poor rampant mind!!!
I own a CrossFit gym and am greatly considering offering to ‘do’ this study during lunch hour with some of our female athletes. I have no idea what that will look like….but i figure we gotta work on our spiritual fitness.
Okay…I’m interested. You got my attention with the title. Hmm…
I thoroughly have enjoyed and been uplifted by P31 women. It’s nice to know there’s someone else out there that is experiencing or has experienced what I am going through. I am always encouraged to find answers to the dilemas in my life. I have always dreamed of having an organized life and home. I have missed out on so much because of the llack of. As I prepared to spend time in prayer this morning, I was just thinking how I need to do a personal bible study and this is exactly what I need in my life right now. I am tired of never sending the card to a friend, or making the phone call to the person who’s heavy on my mind or making the time to pray daily. My most needed area of organization is the commitment and consistentcy of daily communion with the Lord. I know when that is solid, there’s hope for organization in my life. I am praying that this Bible study helps me accomplish that : )
Looking forward to the study…perfect timing…
I am really looking forward to this study. The title really does describe me and how My life has changed. Selfishly, I also hope I win the giveaway, too. It would be such a blessing.
I signed up already and i would love to win the book and calls, Glynnis! You are inspiring and authentic… Which makes you a great leader!
Thanks for offering this giveaway. I want to get back that sense of peace that comes with having my priorities (and my house) in order!
This sounds like a wonderful bible study. As several people have commented, I seemed to have been more organized when I was younger (and when my children were younger). Now that it doesn’t seem as essential to stay on top of things, I can’t even find the top of my things! I’m hoping to be able to find my center again & become as organized as I used to be. Thank you for offering this bible study!
Really never have been but would really like to be
Your Melancholic ADD friend
signed up for the study-would love to have the book to follow along with! thanks for all the good work you do!
I’m very excited about this study! A much needed answer to my prayers!
I am so excited to begin this study. Since I work in a school, summer is the perfect time for me to jump into the “projects” I’ve been putting off all year. Thanks for offering the study and being a part of the calls!!
I would love to win a copy of your book and the conference calls. Melissa always does a great job with Bible Study so I look forward to this summer series.
I relate to so many of the comments and SO often, to your thoughts. We are moving after 14 years at our church and the book title fits “to a ‘T’”. Sounds like a great study for my “in-between” summer getting settled in our new place!
Yay! I read the reviews and the “situational disorganization” sounds like you might have snuck in and visited my home recently. Always situationally disorganized when my daughter is home form college -she leaves a trail behind her – so I need this for me and for her – since she is getting married in December. Not only have we had the “take care of our little girl” discussion with her fiance’ but also, the “she’s kind of messy” discussion so that there was full disclosure – lol!
Sounds like a book i would love to read! The tital says it all:-)
yes. I think my family and I could benefit from me participating in this study and challenge. I’d love to set us up better before tackling the next school year. The distraction that clutter brings to us truly living our days fully is real.
Summer is a great time to study! I need to keep in books all year long. This one sounds like a perfect one for a summer study.
This will be my first online Bible Study and couldn’t have come along at a better time. I’m getting ready to start my summer break from working at school and and excited to see what the Lord and this study have in store for me.
I’m in! We just moved into a new house & I need to get focused!
Help! I need something like this. I hope there’s a chapter on letting go of “stuff” so that I don’t have so much to organize.
I probably don’t still need my moon boots from the ’80′s and my roller shoes from the ’70′s! I’d love to do this study with my teen daughter! We need help managing stuff AND time.
I could use some help with organizing…and I’d love to share it with my daughter who is getting ready to move and struggles with organizing.
I definitely need help with organizing!
Looking forward to this study…i was just thinking the other day..i really use to be more organized…we will be moving soon so this is a good time to get back to a more organization.
I can’t say I used to be terribly organized but I was more organized than I am lately. Looking forward to the study.
I know I sure need some organization in my life. I am thinking of doing this study. I have never done an online study before. Sounds interesting.
I love the idea of doing this online when I have downtime from my crazy schedule this summer. Looking forward to it!
I tried to sign up for Melissa’s study but it would not let me. I would like to get the emails on organization but I need help signing up.
Fun, fun! I love organizing, and someone else’s strategies and tips are always fun to try!
Awesome giveaway! Praying that those of us that need it most are awarded this blessing!! Thanks so much!!
Awesome! I think that your book title perfectly sums up my story!!
Thanks for doing a giveaway!!
Organized…what’s that?!? I used to be very meticulous in how everything worked at home and on the job. Somewhere with the added responsibilities of everyday life, that went out the window….
Funny thing is that I used to be so organized myself. In my mid twenties & with 3 young children, I found myself in the middle of an illness that began taking control of my life. With things spiraling out of control, I finally let go. Even though my illness subsided & I regained a small amount of organization, life still happened & I find myself with too many things & not enough places too put them (metaphorically as well as literally.) I have found much help with a couple of blogger’s you have suggested. I may just conquer my unorganized corners with this study & the free thtime that summer offers.
OHHHHHH….the help that I need….even a dent would be a blessing….
I have always wanted to read this book. I felt like your post this morning was God telling me – IT IS TIME!!
Thank you.
As a teacher, a part-time student, and a caregiver for my husband, there’s not enough time during the school year to fit in more thing. This is the summer that I’ve set aside (actually, I believe that God orchestrated it because I previously had other plans) to catch up and clean up in our home and in my life so that we can start to enjoy and give back to others. What a perfect time for this Bible study, especially since it’s online!
I love giveaways!
My hubby is a neat freak, me not so much.
I would love to find a happy medium.
I esp. need a way to organize paperwork, so I’ll remember what I did with it
Thank you for the giveaway!
Can’t wait to get started in the study…I NEED IT! Thanks!
Looking forward to the study
I’d love to be a part of this study!
Sounds like a great study!
. I’d love to join…
I am looking forward to this study. It seems that as time goes on, I find myself surrounded with more stuff. What use to be organized in our small apartment 36 years ago is now very disorganized. Where did all this stuff come from.
I so need this..but I have never been “organized”. Hoping to borrow a copy from library or order book: I can’t find the giveaway link to enter:(
Hi Glynnis! Thank you for your generosity in the giveaway! I just signed up for the online study – can’t wait! Blessings and peace ~ Stacy
The Lord is really using you, Glynnis, to reach me! I basically dumped all the contents of my mini-van onto my ping-pong table before I left for work this morning. I have a mountain of laundry stacked up, and waiting for me,too. I really “used to be so organized”! I would love to regain that feeling again! Thanks for the inspiration and I hope I can read your book and participate in the online study!
Would love to get your book. I am in the middle of decluttering and feel so overwhelmed. I can’t wait for the bible study to begin.
Kathleen
Sorry, but I’ve NEVER been organized! Do you think this will help?
Oooh oh! Sounds like so much fun! Would love to participate and learn more about getting organized & being a keeper of my home. Thanks! -Desiree Coleman
Looks like a good study. Thanks for investing in the lives of others.
A perfect time to do this study. Things slow down for me at work during the summer (I work at a seminary) and this will help me get into a study at my own time. It is hard to make it to a study in someone’s home with all of the responsibilities I have; I can do this when it is convenient for me (like 4:30 a.m.:)).
This sounds like a great idea and if I have the time and could get that book, it may do me some good. Would love to get my organizational skills back! (Haven’t seen them since I’ve had kids!) lol
Sounds like exactly what I need in this stage of my life! (just becoming re-married this Saturday, 3 kids, need to do my best to help everything blend well) organization isn’t my strongest characteristic anymore….lol, we left early a couple days ago, and my ten year old (autistic/asperger son) said “mom was ready early, that’s unheard of!”
I would love to do this study! I am a “wanna be” organized person. Meaning I totally need help because I am not, but so desire to be in my heart and mind! With 3 children (1 being a very, very busy 15 month old) I am constantly in “clean up the mess mode” with out getting organized. Thank you for this book and study. I look forward to reading it and being a part of it!
Blessings to you,
Kim
Glynnis, thank you so much for sharing your heart for organization! That and time management are my two weakest links! Your tips in the fall have been indispensible and I’m hungry for more! God is gearing me up for more & I look forward to His bigger plan!
) Love in Christ & Blessings, dear one!
I would love to participate in the study!
Being organized is even more important in the summer at our house, since I still have to work but the children have more free time – being on top of things will help me keep them a little structured and productive while offering them good opportunities for fun! Your book is on my list of wants, so now’s the time.
That is exactly what I need to do this summer ~ organize my house and my life! I can’t wait to begin this “project”. Thanks for the study.
I love giveaways and am having a hard time finding time for a local group. This online study seems like something worth trying out.
I soooo excited! I have enjoyed learning about oganization through your blog. I am looking forward to reading your book and participating in my first online bible study. Glynnis, thank you for all you do. God has great plans for me and this is just one part.
Blessings!
I have 4 children….at home. I NEED the book!
I have signed up for the OBS and I am greatly looking forward to it. Like so many moms, and women, my life is full (perhaps overfull) and as we fit everything in it is myself and my home that often get neglected. I cannot wait to address these areas as we read through your book! Even more, I look forward to the peace that comes from balance and order… and how much more effective my time with the Lord will be when I can dwell in that peace and order. Thank you so much for your book and this opportunity. God Bless!
Thank you so much for doing this, my house really needs organized. Between homeschooling and having three girls in one room it is very hard to keep organized! I have been wanting to read your book but since my husband is a full time seminary student his books have to be bought first! I really am looking forward to the Bible study. Thank you.
I am so excited. Back in December, I saw the invite to participate in your clutter free study and the Lord had been putting this on my heart and putting this on my heart and putting this on my heart. I just kept putting it in my “To Do” folder. Finally I decided to jump in and do it. Much to my husband’s surprise, next time he said we have too much stuff, I was able to tell him about the study(he was tickled). Moving along with my story, was that God was getting us ready to move. He was getting our hearts, minds and stuff ready to move and we had no idea. I would love to do this study to continue my organizing because now we have moved and I want to start out our home organized instead of having to come back and do it later. Thanks, Christy Blackburn
Thank you for this giveaway opportunity. I’ve recently found your blog and have been enjoying it the last several months. I’m encouraged and exhorted each time I read your posts. Please enter me in the book giveaway… I would love to read the book and join the bible study.
I would love to participate in this and would love to win your book! Every summer I try to organize my house and come up with a plan – and it lasts about a week (maybe). I need help coming up with a plan that I can follow through with!! Thank you for this opportunity!
~~~** I am desperately praying for the opportunity to hold this study “close to my heart”. I work full time, and need some “ME” time each day- I would really LOVE to receive a book, with the prayer I will find some refreshment and help conquer my “burn out syndrome.” I am going through a valley trying to find organization with a hetic job, a juvenile diabetic 16 year old son, a hormonal 12 year old daughter, and finding time for a wonderful husband who puts up with all of the flaws and falls along the way!!
Thank you soo much!!
Betsi
I am really looking forward to what God is going to do in this study and in my life. I need more organization so I can have more time for the really important things, not looking for a missing shoe.
The title really caught my eye. I seem to have a difficult time getting organized, and to connect it to God’s word, how great is that.
Thank you!
I’ve been wanting to read your book and would love to win!!! Thanks for the chance!
Ok. This book sounds like it was written just for me. I enjoy your blog so much.
This sounds like so much fun and I would be so much more productive to read the book as a group with accountability. Thanks Glynnis!
~Kim
I did “used to be so organized” but somehow life with teenagers has cluttered my life! I have looked at your book several times… Think it’s time to actually read it.
Looking forward to the study.
I too used to be organized…but life got in the way. Divorce, a lost job, a big move, new schools, new job….all of these things threw my organizational skills out the window. I am trying desperately to organize my life, my house, my job, etc. This book sounds like a great place to start!
I am interested in doing this study!
I can’t wait to read the book
.
The study sounds like something I need to invest some time in! Would love to win the book, but even if I don’t I am going to try & be a part of this study.
~Blessings~
I really need this study to help me put things back in order in my life.
Sounds like exactly what I need. Thanks so much, Glynnis and Melissa!
I used to be so organized…until I moved. Moving, though exciting, is also a time of stress and change. Change and organization, change and simplicity, can they coexist for me?
I’m leaving the comfort zone of my life and ministry behind and embarking on a new adventure. I am going to need help keeping my spiritual, emotional and day to day life in balance. Most of all, I want to seek first the Lord and not get caught up in the busyness of it all. I am thankful for this study opportunity and looking forward to getting started! Thank you!
How wonderful that you are doing this study AND giving away the book! Thank you for using your gifts to help all of us get organized!
Sounds great, I love organizing! Thank you for the give away.
I am so thankful for this study! I bought the book when it was first released and loved it. I’ve participated in several of Melissa’s studies so I am sure she will bring out things I missed and be a total blessing to my soul and home. Looking forward to the homework to. At 61 I need a little (ok, BIG) push sometimes.
Your minstry really hits home…. Clutter can over come not only our homes but our lives. It is time for a clean sweep…looking forward to this study. Thanks, Carla
Very exciting! Thank you for the giveaway!
This sounds interesting. The giveaway will be great!
Would love to participate, just concerned that I am not organized enought to fit it in! I used to be organized but after several years of some major life issues in addition to work and homeschooling organization has gone out the window (or actually it is probably somewhere burried under a pile of stuff)! I want to be such a better example for my child. Thank you for all your words of Godly wisdom. Blessings
Would love to learn how to be more organized in my spiritual life as well as all other areas of life!
Would love to learn more..and be more organized
I am so excited about the summer study!!! It came at the perfect time…I am in the process of decluttering my house…Maybe the study will keep me focused on my summer task. Thanks.
I’m so excited for this study! I’ve gotten a little better in this area from reading your blogs but I still have some ways to go
Oh PLEASE pick me – after 12 years of homeschooling and running a business out of my home for 1/2 of that time I SO need this book and study!
Would love to win a copy of the book! We have a small family farm and I would love to use it to also help organize the barn
LOL. If you don’t yet have a chapter on “barn organization”, feel free to come on over and use our place as a testing ground to write about. We’d surely feed you well while you’re here!
I’d love to join the study! The last time I was organized was many years ago, before I was married! My family is a wonderful blessing, but we could use a little less chaos!
I USED to know where everything was and more time for organization (prior to 5 kiddos), and now I rarely know “which end is up!”. Maybe this is due to a lack of time, but also, lack of memory as age creeps in… LOL! I wanted to start the Clutter-Free Bible Study in January but I never got “there”. So here I am back at square one. I think if my mind wasn’t cluttered by the visual stuff, I could focus more on the spiritual. Thank you for targeting the practical areas of our lives. Blessings!
God keeps bringing this topic back around to me so I know there is something to it!! I want to read this book and use it to re-organize and simplify my life. We are preparing to sell our home and downsize in the next year, so I can’t wait to do this is His name and not on my own.
As a school teacher, the first week of summer seems to be LAZINESS then without any warning the tyranny of clutter and mom’s frazzled behavior toward perfection of housekeeping sets in. I’m looking forward to this study and hope to avoid freaking my kids out with my annual wrestle against rage regarding clutter and chaos. Please enter my name in the drawing for a book.
I used to be organized, but like others, circumstances of life took over. God has blessed my life in so many ways, but I would like to control the clutter.
I’d love to be a part of the study. I’ve been wanting to get the book but just haven’t. Thank you for the opportunity to be a part!
I know that I really need to find a way to get decluttered and stay that way. I have been too undisciplined for too long, and now it seems too daunting. I don’t want to raise my son in CHAOS, literally and the FLYLady definition. (Yes, I have tried FLYLady.)
I start out well, but become discouraged when small changes seem to make so little difference. I guess this is truly something I need the Lord’s help to accomplish, because the flesh is indeed so weak here.
I pray there is hope for me, because I really hate looking around my home that is too cluttered to try to clean. I feel guilty, I feel overwhelmed, then I go watch mindless TV, or just try to leave home as much as possible.
I know my son and husband deserve better–I just don’t know how to break the chain.
This could really change my life.
Carissa in eastern Iowa
I have never done an online Bible study….I would be so thrilled to receive your book as a gift. Thanks for offering it in a give-away.
I would like to be a part of the study and — since I already have the book — I will gift the book to a friend and invite her to join me!
Our youngest son just graduated, a daughter just got married…. the empty nest will soon happen in our home… what a great time to get re-organized.
Nice giveaway…have a blessed summer!
Thank you for your encouragement. I LOVE reading your blogs! So glad I found your site!
I told my kids that we were going to get organized this summer. This study has come along at just the right time. So excited to get started!
Thank you for your encouragement. I LOVE reading your blogs! So glad I found your site!
I would love to win your free book and study! I feel like this book may be the story of my life
And I find myself wondering ‘When did I meet this lady and how long has she been observing me??’
summer sounds like a great time to focus on this study!
ALREADY KNOW THIS STUDY IS GOING TO BE A BIG BLESSING FOR OUR FAMILY! THANK YOU!
Thank you so much for doing this! Can’t wait to learn more.
I used to be so organized … before we moved when my oldest was 9 months old. He’s now 11. It’s time. I need a plan and accountability. The book would be helpful too.
Would love to join this study/read this book!
would love to win this book Gods Peace
Looking forward to being involved with the next on-line Bible Study! This will be my first one and I am excited!
I am so looking forward to this study! I truly used to be organized, but I really had to work at it. Then I became a caregiver for both my Mom and Mother-in-Law when they were diagnosed with cancer four years ago. Almost all organization went out the window as I cared for them and my own family. I am starting to get caught up again, but could sure use the support and encouragement that I know I will get from this group! Thank you!!
Sounds lik a great study. i got your book a while ago and really enjlyed reading it. unfortunately it is packed away at the moment as we have been preparing for a move and have majorly decluttered so i would reall y appreciate getting another copy to follow along with the study. thank you for your ministry:)
This sounds like an awesome book and Bible study! Thanks for sharing!
What if we’ve really NEVER Been organized? so there’s no “used to be” here! lol
I have been reading your daily devotions (Proverbs 31) and been to your blog and just love it! I have learned so much and appreciate all that you and the other Writers of God post daily. Thanks so much for your willingness to lead through your lives. I am excited about this new bible study – I have wanted to do this study for so long. I dont have the book yet but am hoping to get the money to get it in time. Then I will pass it on to my daughter!
Can’t wait to start this one! We moved into a short sale, foreclosure condition house in February and I am struggling with being organized in the parts of the house that are finished when the other parts are so obviously not finished and out of control. I work full time and have 4 kids and am looking forward to all tips to getting some things under control!
I soooo want to be organized. I feel so much more peaceful when I have my home organized but as a full time working mom, there just doesn’t seem to be enough hours in the day to get all the necessary stuff done – let alone tackling my disorganized cabinets, pantry and closets! Maybe, just maybe this online study is exactly what I need to motivate me into action.
I have not been able to say “I used to be so organized” ever in life. I am looking forward to the day when I will say “I am organized” for the very first time!
So excited about this! I just bought the book to read on my iPad- first one other than the Bible! I had to do it immediately or it wouldn’t get done at all. Unfortunately I can’t do everything immediately or I wouldn’t need this study…sigh. On the way to my desk was reminded of how badly I need this study and the timing is just perfect. Looking forward to what God has to teach me and glad to share the book with a friend if I win the giveaway since I already have my copy.
I say “I use to be so organized” all the time but realize that I am and was far from it. Hopefully one day I can get there, with 2 small kids, a husband, a full time job and school…I feel so lost and unorganized its a shame.
Thanks for offering the book and the study I could use them
I identify myself as a perfectionist. I want everything I do to be just right. And since I do not get organizing and cleaning “just right,” I tend to put it off or not get to it. Which makes it harder and more intimidating. And if I do work my behind off to get an area clean and organized and neat, it never stays that way.
I want to be part of this study! God does not want us to drown in a disorganized mess!
God bless you,
Jenn
Ready to start! We are experiencing many changes in our home now. Oldest son moved out for the first time and another son just graduated. We are back to “just us” again with extra space in the house. I need this on-line study to focus and get my mind on to new projects!!! Thanks!
At work, I am very organized and get everything done. But at home, I am the poster child of DIS-organization. I always have the best laid plans, but then life gets in the way! I’m going to DO THIS this time!!!
Thank you so much for this generous opportunity, Glynnis! God bless you!
I’m excited to get more organized in my life and at home. Thank you!
I am looking forward to the blessings I know will come from this study.
I would love to be part of this study! Thank you for the opportunity.
I can’t tell you how much your emails, blog, and devotions over at P31 help and motivate me!! I jumped over to Roo Mag awhile back at your suggestion and somehow ended up on GoodMorningGirls.org and am in the middle of a fantastic study on the P31 woman and how to be more like her! I would love to be in this organizational study also!! Either way tho, thank you for always being such a source of help in so many areas!
Would love to “get organized”! I to am very organized at work, but my closets at home are a disaster! Thank you Glynnis for the opportunity!
I am really looking forward to starting this study. Life feels like it is spinning out of control. Asking God to prepare my heart over the weekend for the beginning of the study Monday.
This is so exciting. I need to do this not only for myself but for my family. My mother was a hoarder and I seem to have followed in her footsteps to some degree. I suffered a mini stroke last week and although I am fine, I want to declutter my home and my life. It is time to do that. Thank you for all you do to help us as we walk this journey called life on earth.
So excited about this study! I’ve been wanting to get the book for a while and this has given me a great reason to do so!
I am looking forward to it! Thanks!
I would love to get more organized! I feel like I am organized as far as the house etc, but need more help in organizing spiritually and having something to keep me in the Word over the summer. This also makes me a “better” mom, when I’m consistently in God’s Word.Thanks for the opportunity to do this study. I have never done an on-line study like this before.
I am excited to getback into the online bible study community. I would love to win the conference calls. With 2 kids off to college, money is tight at our household. Thanks for the opportunity.
Oh my goodness – I need this study BADLY!! :-> My home office looks like a tornado hit it, and I am working on launching my freelance writing business. Not a great combination. Many times I do not know where to start first, so this study is exactly what I need! Also, I am newly married (16 months) with a 15-year old stepson, and I am trying to get our house in order, and it feels like there are not enough hours in the day. HELP!! So excited to participate – thanks so much, Glynnis and Melissa!!
Yes yes yes!!! I can’t wait to start. I’m going to have a lot of free time this summer & getting organized sounds like a great time filler
Definitely would like to participate and bring order to some disorder in my home = ]
Excited about the study – have been wanting to read the book.
Seriously considering this! I’ve always felt fairly organized. However, time to re-organize!!!
I like to think that I’m organized, but not really. I seem to only get about halfway there. I like to organize stuff, but I just don’t seem to get it done right. I’m excited about this study and getting organized.
And doing it all the way not just halfway.
I REALLY NEED this study!!! I am organized with some outside projects but never at home….I can’t wait to read your book!!!!
Oh Glynnis, just the title speaks to my heart, I used to be so organized and need something to get me back on task. Melissa does such a great job with the studies and I look forward to this one. Blessings for you today!
I admit… I’m a bit leery of signing up to do this study because I know I will have to put in a little bit ‘elbow grease’ to tackle some issues! Ha! But I’m certainly willing to try and I’m excited about what God wants to do through this study, to help clear the ‘clutter’ in my heart & mind while clearing it in my home as well
Thank you both for serving our Lord by helping other women be more free to serve him as well! Exciting!
This study sounds awesome. I feel so disorganized but I keep trying. Thanks for the chance to win.
I have never done an online Bible study, but I have signed up to do this one and I’m looking forward to getting started. I have also invited the ladies in my Sunday night Bible study class to join me….hope they will. Waiting for my book!!!!!
I recently quit my job to be at home with my family. I need to get organized so I can make the most of the day, and make up for lost time!
Sounds like just what I need. Thanks for all your work.
I would love to do this!! I hope I win the book!!
How fun! Your e-mails have motivated me to start overcoming my clutter! I have been taking baby steps but I used loved your cleaning series earlier this fall. I have to be honest, before I read your post by flylady and followed you link I did not even know my sink could be cleaned!! Thank you for taking the time to blog and organize guest bloggers.
I was part of an amazing bible study but had to go back to work full time. I just haven’t felt the same since I have been unable to attend. Thank you for this opportunity to join this study.
I’d love to do this study…if I can figure out how to get organized enough to have the time to do it…
I’m chuckling a little to myself right now.
This study would be so great for me. And if you saw my office and the storage room over our garage…oh, yeah, and the basement storage area
you would be in complete agreement. The funny thing is: the title of the book “I Used to Be So Organized” makes it sound as if I was (organized) at one time, which I don’t think has ever really been true. I just didn’t have so many other things adding to the mess.
But it’s never too late to learn something new and I am MORE than ready. There is a quote I read once that says: You cannot glorify God better than with a calm and joyous life. And I know you cannot be internally calm (and therefore, joyous) with clutter all around. So…I’m “in”. See you all on Monday!
I have been trying to get organized for so long, that my disorganization has become my “normal.” My husband works so hard and I yearn for our home to be a place of peace for him.
I need this book!
wanting to get more organized in our home. I just need advice on how to go about it.
I might be organized in some things but my home often lacks organization–you should see my attic and crawl spaces! Sounds like a good topic.
How did you know that I USED to be organized!?!?!??! Sounds like a fantastic study!!!
I really need something like this. Thanks for the giveaway.
Can’t wait to find out how to be more organized the right way. I find myself reorganizing the same areas of my house only to have to do it again a few months later!
I would love the motivation this book would give. I just put in a request via B&N to get an ebook version of this book. Either format would be a GREAT help.
I would love to do this study. I used to be organized but now it is getting completely out of control.
I have three small children, ages 6, 3, and 6 months–and in 19 days we are taking a leap of faith and moving (without having employment lined up!) from Alaska to Washington to be closer to family and hopefully (finally) give my children the opportunity to have a mom at home with them, and active grandparents to boot. We don’t know what God has in store, and we know it is possible we’re about to struggle more than we ever have in some ways–but our faith in Him has been strengthened through our recent trials, and my husband and I have felt the calling to GO persist, even months after we dismissed the calling as crazy due to lack of financial security. I had not really struggled with organization until our second child, but now I could definitely benefit from the wisdom of someone who has struggled to put children and organization in the same sentence. What better time to implement some strategies than as we’re setting up our new home?
I need something to be the catalyst for organization because as the title says: I used to be so organized…
Looking forward to the study! Especially sharing with others who used to be organized!!
I would love to get my house organized this summer!
This is just in time for my summer organizing plans!
I just ordered this book for my sister and am tempted to keep it to do the study!
Awesome, I’ve been trying to decide on a study I could do this summer. Great timing.
Sounds like a great study!
Such a great way to get into the suller! I love having a great read…haven’t given myself much time to just read! Lol! Plus we can all use a little help when it comes to organizing:)
I have wanted to read your book since it was released and this would be a great time to get started! Thank you!
I’m on the wait list at the library for this book and am hoping that it gets returned soon!! Looking forward to the study!
I’m so excited about learning more in the way of organization! I have wanted to read this book for a long time, and since my husband and I have recently moved into our fixer-upper home, this is a perfect time to get some organizational behaviors in place
). Can’t wait!
Sounds like a good idea to me!
I could SOOOOO use some organization in my life! I’m really looking forward to participating in Melissa’s study! Thanks for all your encouragement and advice, Glynnis!
I can’t wait for online study…It will be a joy to get organized and know others are doing it as well. Thanks for offering this!
Super excited to read the book!! I did your 15 day de clutter series and loved that, now I can put it all togeher when I read the book. I can sure use some organzation in my busy life shuffling my kids around to softball and church activities!!
I am so looking for some organizational ideas…. looking forward to this study and
would love to have your book.
This is an area I definitely need help in and I would love to win!
Have always wanted to read this book and am excited about this online study…have told others about it as well. This is certainly something I’ve been struggling with for quite sometime. Have two little kids, which we had later in life, and am constantly struggling to maintain balance between work and home. Prior to having kids I felt I was pretty organized…now, not so much yet it feels my responsibilties have tripled! I really need this study…
Sounds good, and Lord knows I need it!
Sounds like a great contest and book! It really does summarize my life! “I use to be organize!”
I would love to participate in the study, and winning the book for free would be an added bonus!! Good luck, everyone!
I have wanted this book for a long time now & would love to win it!
I need so much help with organization due to working full time away
from home.
Blessings,
Janet
Sounds like a great Bible study. Thanks for the giveaway!
This sounds like just what I need!
Love Melissa’s studies…so helpful and I’m looking forward to this one
I am looking forward to getting organized spiritually, mentally and physically
I would love to have a copy of the book and do the study! More organization is always helpful!!
I am looking forward to this study. I would love to win a copy of the book.
It sounds like a great study.
Can’t wait!!
I have come so close to getting this book many times & now I feel this is the time & doing it with a study group will make it even better for me. The Lord is leading me here
I’m so unorganized! I could use all of the help that I can get. Thank you for allowing Melissa to use your book! I can’t wait to start!
Can’t wait to start this!
This sounds like the perfect summer study for me!
So very excited and thankful to our Lord for the OBS. I cannot wait to begin! Thank you for all you do and share <3 Much love in Christ,
Jen
I need this. I constantly feel the stress of having an unorganized house. My baby is now 6 and its time.
I’m so excited for the study to start!
Can’t wait!! I really enjoy these studies!
This will be my first online bible study and i’m looking forward to getting more organized and hopefully making some friends along the way.
The Vintage Friends I play cards with each week has been talking about doing a study together. Perhaps they will join this with me and we can study a while together and then play cards. Sounds like something that would make my husband very happy, “for me to get organized”. Blessings, B
Sounds like a great study for summer!!
I am so excited to start this study! It is so applicable to my life!
I have been a part of Melissa’s studies before and look forward to being a part of this one. I struggle with organization. Thanks to you both for making this study possible.
I have so much to juggle in my life this book and study would help me so much. Right now my finances are not where they need to be to buy the book but I pray I win. Getting this book would be a blessing and Melissa is such a great teacher I’m excited for the opportunity to be a part of it all again. God bless
This sounds GREAT!!! I have never been really organized, so am looking forward to the study. In fact, my youngest daughter (20) asked me the other day why my closets aren’t as organized as my mom’s closet. She asked what happened to me.
I’ve been interested in the book for a while — what a wonderful opportunity to dig in!
Hi. Thank you for this great opportunity. I am looking foward to this study because my life has just had some changes and my busy summer is going to be a relaxing season, which I am hoping with this study, will take me to a new level with my relationship with Christ. Looking foward to Melissa’s study for the first time.
what a wonderful Idea…& perfect to share with a friend
I can’t wait to get started!!
My house is mirroring my mind right now – cluttered! I think this book and study could really help.
I’ve been wanting your book for quite some time now- hope I win!
I love it when the pace of life slows a bit and we have a little more time to spend reflecting on where are our hearts are now and where God wants to take us….
I can’t wait for this to start!
could definitely use some encouragement in this regard. Looking forward to learning new things!
Looking forward to starting this study…..one of my 2012 goals is to “simplify” and that includes less clutter and more organized in all areas of my life.
So many entries already, but I really hope I win! Great giveaway!
I have been wanting to read a book like this, especially when disorder is a root cause of my stress.
Super EXCITED to read your book! I have shared the study on my Facebook page & one of my friends wants to join too. Praying I WIN the book love to you sweet sister.
I tried again and I can’t get to Melissa’s Blog. I want to get the emails on clutter control and I also want to be in for the give away. Can you help me?
It seems like this would be perfect for me.
I have been receiving your e-mails through my work email (dgreen3@amfam.com), however I am now entering my home email for the contest, as on August 3rd our office is closing and consolidating in different states, not including Utah. I will have some time off and will definitely need to get organized! You see, I am an RN and have a Certification in Legal Nursing, thus I will be venturing into a business of my own, marketing my expertise as a nurse to lawyers. I am the sole breadwinner; as my husband’s health caused him to retire. So please add me to the prayer list! Will enjoy the group study!! Thanks!
Looking forward to the study and reading the book!
I’m ready for this study!
It’s funny we were just talking about contests and I said that if there were only 2 entries and they were giving away 2 prizes, I still wouldn’t win. Maybe that can change today!!
I really need this study. I am so busy and it’s only going to get worse when my 5 year old starts school in the fall. Not only is my house disorganized but so is my mind. I would swear that I have ADHD because I can’t concentrate on anything for longer than 5 minutes. I am hoping that this study will give me some spiritual insight into getting my life in order.
Thank you to the ladies from P31 Ministries for all that they do to help us along our journeys!
This sounds like a great little nudge to get me on track with managing the home and getting into a study. Thanks for making a way to do this little by little!
I’m excited to be apart of this study! I have been slowing trying to organize, declutter and clean since being apart of the Decluttering series. I’ve even been able to convince my husband to get on board! I still have a long way to go and since having my daughter, I haven’t been able to regulary attend church or have regular fellowship. I’ve been excited to find the P31 blogs for encouragement.
I love the title of your book. I just wish there was a time I was organized. Oh, sure, some areas of my life are actually very organized — work for example, which is great because my job demands that especially since I am a court reporter and do most of my work at home. But my home… sigh. My goal for this year was menu planning, and I still haven’t found the perfect system. That “perfect” word is always what creates my problems. I need to focus on practical, progress, and purpose being intentional with my choices. Hope you’re having a wonderful vacation : )
I am looking so forward to getting started on this bible study, I need it so much…..Lisa T
My first post seems to have disappeared (???).
I have been so undisciplined about this for so long, and it feels so daunting. I have tried FLYLady, I have tried everything. Small changes don’t seem to make much impact, so the weak flesh seems to prevail, and I give up.
I hate looking at my home that is too cluttered to clean, and that hatefulness drives me to instead watch mindless TV or try to leave the house entirely.
I pray there is hope for me, because I know my son and my husband deserve better than this. I just don’t know how to break the cycle.
This could change my life, for real.
Carissa in eastern Iowa
hmmm, what if i never was organized…can i still get organized, excited to find out =)
I’m so excited for this study! I’ve been wanting to purchase your book since the challenge you started in January! God has blessed you with such talent – thank you for sharing it with the world!
I have never done an online study before so I’m looking forward to participating. I’m really excited about the thought of getting my life, home and mind organized.
I am really looking forward to this study. It’s been a rough year for me–a long round of chemo for breast cancer as well as a fractured ankle. But I’m on the mend now–thank you, Jesus, and looking forward to getting my life organized and moving on. Thank you for your interesting website.
I would love to win a copy! I have been wanting to read this book!
Before I had my third daughter, I used to feel organized too. Maybe your book and the online study can help me get back on track
would love to be part of the study and receive the book!
This would be really good for me. I definitely need some help!
I cannot wait for the study! I am in need of the help after having boy #3 last December.
I got the book downloaded on my Kindle and I am ready, I already read the forward and the first chapter! It is an easy read and also I relate to the words. Looking forward to how you, Glynnis, bring organization and God together!
I would love to go through this study AND win the book. Thanks!!
“I used to be organized” actually…I”m still trying to get organized! 3 little ones (ages 5,3,21months), homeschool, church planting, new house, hubby lost job and has been home for 8 weeks (praise the Lord he got a job and will begin working again in 2 weeks!), and we still have renovations that we need to do. Needless to say it’s busy. So I’m still trying to get organized. LOL. Thanks for your tips and work.
Jamy
I’ve been thinking about a Bible Study while my class is on break for the Summer.
Your devotional spoke to me today and I believe this is exactly what I’ve been praying for. I’m very excited to get started and your book looks awesome!!
Thanks for the reminder that this is starting soon. I was just thinking how I have gotten into a comfortable set of routines since I quit my job, with the children in school, and now we will need to create some new ones. This study looks like a life-saver to me! I know that structure and discipline are good things, but being the responsible adult to choreograph and implement that in a household with 6 children who are still in school and one 19 year old feels daunting. I trust that this study will make the transition go at least a little bit smoother!
I have struggled with being organized for 60 years. My first problem is getting rid of clutter. It is almost impossible for me to do that. My grandma went through the depression and instilled on me to keep everything because you might need it some day. Do you have a fix for hoarders?
enjoy reading your blog and cant wait to read the book.
I would love to read your book on organization!
I truly need to get myself organized…. I would love to win your book and participate in the online study!
I have never been an organizied person, i have & still fill like a failure, because if being do unorganized. The older I get the worse I get, I fear I’m teaching my kids to be unorganized. I see a lot of me in them. I’m not gonna give up, and I’m gonna keep praying about it!!!:):):)
I can’t wait for this study to begin. I so need it!
can’t wait!
Looking forward to the study…
Your 15 day e-mail getting organized “class” grabbed my attention but the timing wasn’t right – so I filed the e-mails (so they wouldn’t get lost in the 4500) and started a few weeks later addressing 1 per week. Starting with the cluttered mind was exactly where I needed to begin! I am also reading your book on my Kindle whenever I’m waiting at the kids games or practice, or when I need a jump start, I pull it out and read another chapter. I have 3 major areas left I’m hoping to reclaim this summer so am really looking forward to this fun but practical study. Thank you!
“used to be”? I would just love to feel organized for once! Life happens and clutters every area of our life, spiritually and physically! I can’t wait to start your book!
Thank you! My sister and I are in this one together! Even thou we live 100 miles apart it will feel more like we are in each other’s kitchens with that cup of coffee! Thanks for this opportunity and challenge!
I really, really, really am in need of your book! I have 3 rooms that are in serious need of organization! I AM READY TO CLEAN, ORGANIZE, AND DE-CLUTTER!!!!
I used to be organized before I had kids…now with 3 kids under 9, I find that I’m a packrat and save way too many things! My goal for the summer is to declutter as much as I can!
Thanks for a chance to win your book and participate in the bible study:)
This couldn’t have come at a better time for me. My husband and I just moved two weeks ago. My house is a mess, my head is a mess and I’m just a mess. Lost my glasses and now my purse has been stolen. Please , I need help.
I can’t wait to join the study & gain tips on decluttering in many areas!! Thank you!
I am very excited about the on-line study starting next week. One of my children has been in the hospital twice in the past two months and I’m so far behind it will take me 7 forevers to get things back in order. I am hoping this series will help me overcome the panic i feel when i look at the things that need to be done.
I desperately need to become more organized in all areas of my life. My family is really struggling right now, as a result of health problems. If I can reclaim some control of my life and become more organized, it will benefit us all, making our situation seem less difficult. Prayers would be appreciated.
Ok, I tried to do the 15 day de-clutter series but for some reason or another I fizzled out by the 3rd day… Still wanting to be clutter free. I willing to try again, thank you for offering us another chance at it. With God’s help anything is possible….
T
Okay, Glynnis, I have a confession to make…in recent frenzy of “I’m going to get organized!!” I went through one box, found journal from 2006, and OF COURSE, as Wandering Minds do – completely forgot my goal and sat down to read what I had written six years ago.
Guess what? Had written of my frustrations with being disorganized. And again in 2004, and in 2002….so apparently, I didn’t “Used to Be So Organized”. And now, with Nursing School looming in September…and age/ensuing memory loss upon me…oh, wow, do I need help. So please enter me into your giveaway contest.
Oh, and I never DID complete my “organizing frenzy”…guess I should go back to it..
Oh, but it’s so pretty outside…maybe later….
Lisa Simon
Really enjoyed your blog posts earlier this year, so looking forward to reading the book along with everyone else
Well with my family falling apart around me, I’m anxious to start this study with you. I’m hoping to organize the inner so I am better able to deal with the outer surrounding clutter in my life. Looking at some of the chapter titles that Melissa posted, I see a few apply directly to me.
Thanks for doing the study! With temps already in the triple digits here in the valley of the sun it will also give me a reason to stay inside.
God Bless !
I would like to win your book.
Maybe this can help me. I try all the time, and with 2 young children who I homeschool some days it seems hopeless!
It’s so strange how organized I am at work, and know where everything is in just the blink of an eye. My home….well not so much. I have 3 other people at my house though, and my office is just me. I will be joining the OBS! Thanks.
So… I hope I can still be a part of this if I have actually NEVER been organized, but long desperately to be. I just used to have more time to clean up my messes.
Hi there Glynnis – I have been “following” you and Melissa for quite a few years now and know the value of your teachings!! Would love to participate in the online study. Add me to your contest
Ya never know, right?!
Thanks and I hope you’re out of town on vacation!
I agree – summer is a great time to take on something like Melissa’s study. Please count me in for the drawing. I would love to participate!
Lord knows I need this study!!! I am looking forward to it.
HELP!!!!!
I used to be so organized-before I had kids!
I really need this study! I can’t afford the book right now, but I plan to follow the study and hopefully it will be enough to help me.
I am very interested in your book, “I Used to be so Organized.” Since becoming retired, I see areas in my home that are in desperate need of organization. Your book would be a blessing.
Need this so badly!!!! Just had surgery and my house it a mess. Husband is leaving to work out of town for a bit and my life has got to start running more smoothly.
Just the other day, I was fussing at my daughter for having piles of stuff all over every surface of her room…only to go into the kitchen and see that I am guilty of the same thing on my desk. Help! I am ready for the overwhelmed feeling of clutter to end!
Looking forward to getting started!
This would be great to get. Any help organizing would be wonderful. This sounds like a wonderful study.
I don’t think I was ever truly organized, but before my twins were born, I was better at it. I am more organized at work than in my personal life. I am an Admin Asst so I have to be organized there. We also take breaks over the summer so I am looking forward to a study and joining one of the online groups.
I find I’m very organized in some areas, and very UN-organized in others. Would love to be more balanced! Looking forward to trying this study.
im so looking forward to reading this book!
my heart and mind are so very disorganized
i can give you an example of how disorganized
my life is
yeasterday i went to the court house to serve for jury duty
you know how they make you take everything out of your purse
well i had to hold everything that was in my purse in my hands
you can only imagine what that looks like
Even when I get organized, I do not stay organized leaving a constant feeling of always playing catch up and never being caught up. This is frustrating when I want to live with a feeling of contentment not disorganization. This has caught my attention!
Well, I’ve never really been truly organized. I kinda work better with a little bit of disorganization, but as I’m trying to do some spring cleaning in my home, I feel like I’m drowning in stuff and it’s a bit overwhelming. I’m sure this book and bible study would help me tremendously.
I have your book — I am sooo.. ready to get a clue on how to be organized and to keep it that way.
I used to be fairly organized but that was before grandchildren. It is amazing how much of my time and energy they take but they also add a lot of joy.
This is perfect timing, excited to start. Would be great to get the book for free but even if not count me in
Wow… I would like to sign up for the contest. The instructions said to make a comment and do not click reply… so here I am. Excited. Expecting!
I am really excited about this study! This is my first online Bible Study, and I have been trying for years to get organized with no success!
I USED TO BE ORGANIZED….what happened to me! I’d LOVE to win…enter me! Thanks
Other of five boys, two with special needs, recently diagnosed with adult ADD, and also help my mother who had a stroke almost two years ago. ORGAWHAT? I need to be so organized!!! Looking forward to this study. Never done one online before and on top of it I will be traveling for the summer with the aforementioned group of misfits.
. Sounds like perfection!!
*mother
I really think I need this information. Looking forward to both the book and the Bible Study. Suzi pblapere@att.net
Iam writing because my daughter,is head of the kids ministry,at our church,and always doing special programs with the children from infants to six graders,all year long. She is the Sunday School Teacher for 5th and 6th graders. She also Subs at her kids school,oh and yes she has a boy 11, a boy 10,a boy 7 and a girl 3. She is a very busy mommy. She has a big house and activity all the time,things get rather hectic for her at times especially trying to keep the house organized. I would be so excited if she could get one of the giveaway books. Thank-you!! God Bless!!
Looking forward to this…. hoping to have some down time in the summer to spend more time studying the Bible and getting my house and life organized. Thanks so much for offering this study!
I REALLY NEED TO BE ORGANIZED . I WOULD LOVE TO HAVE THE BOOK TO DO THE BIBLE STUDY. MAY GOD BLESS THE RIGHT ONE OF US. THANK YOU KAY
I used to believe that “I Used to be So Organized” – then reality kicked in and I finally accepted the fact that I have always had a deep (obsessive) desire to be organized, but struggle with, well obsessive, perfectionistic tendencies that keep me stuck in ruts or flat-out paralyzed. Your book has been on my wish-list since I discovered P31M last year and I’m already signed up for the study through Melissa’s website. I plan to store all the posts until my current (in person) Bible Study is over, but I know I NEED HELP in this area and would love to receive a copy of the book before I dive in to the study. I appreciate your practical advice! Many Blessings ~ Jackie
Would love to win this book.
Looking forward to reading your book!!
I participated in your Clutter Free online study back in January and inspired me. I made a little progress but the Lord knows I have a long way to go. I am hoping this study will be just what I need! Thank you for the giveaway!
I would love to have the book for the study. I need some organization in my life right now.
I would love to start the summer off right, organizing my life.
I used to be so organized too, until my husband and dog and little ones were running around. It is so hard to keep myself so now.
Your book sounds interesting although I don’t know if.I was ever organised just less things to keep track of.
I am so excited to join this study! My small group just met for the last time until fall and I have been trying to determine how I could stay connected. Additionally, I have been a subscriber to your blog for a few months and NEED to read “I used to be So Organized”. There is no time like the present. Thank you both for taking the time to lead this study and thank you God for leading me to you!
I am SOOOO looking forward to this study! The Lord is so good. I asked for help and He is providing this study!
Hi Glynnis, Would love to win the book and join the study. I need to both spend more time in the Word as well as get my house organzied. God bless and thanks for your blog and your great ideas.
Hi f
orgot to add my name above.
Great! Just what I wanted to work on this Summer! Try to get a little order back in my life. I receive your emails and enjoy them very much. Some days what you send is just what God wants me to see. Thank you!
Yes, I used to be more organized! Somehow, it seemed easier when I worked in an office, and even when I came home for good when I had my kids. Now that my kids are teens, I’ve completely lost my organizational groove, so your book would be most helpful!
Your blog has been an encouragement to me. I would love to read your book as I prepare to welcome baby #4 at the beginning of next year (my other children are 1, 3, and 5).
Thanks!
Sounds like a great study! Please enter me in your give-away drawing!
Blessings!!
Sounds like a great book and a great study!
would love to win the book. my house, life is so un organzied so bad that the piles of stuff just make me depressed and i have lost all my joy and motiviation.
Sounds like a great study for the summer!!
I also used to be so organized!! I have a 10 month old & am not sure what happened to me!?! Perhaps I was always so organized because I had so much free time? Now that I don’t have as much as I used to, I struggle with this & could use some help. Looking forward to this study!!
Could definitely use help getting organized. And learn not to save so much.
Would love to get a handle on organization! Three kids and a full time job doesn’t make it easy.
I really wish that I used to be organized and I keep telling myself that I was before marriage, children, the dog, and a business….but things have started to pile up over the last 12 years and my husband seems to think that one day I will be on an episode of hoarderes if I cannot get a grip. I really enjoyed the 15 day challenge that Glynnis did back in the spring and I really felt like I was getting somewhere and I was letting go of things, but I feel overwhelmed again and hope that maybe this bible study could help a sista out. I have wanted to purchase the book but just don’t have a credit card that is not maxed out….. I reeeeeallly want the book. Have a great day!!!!
Oh, I’d love to read the book and be part of the study! I recently read “28 Days to Hope For Your Home”, and I think this would be a great follow-up.
Thrilled to start this study!!! Totally timely!!!!
I’m very excited to join the study! Thank you for providing “homework” and blog articles along with the book. Looking forward to it.
I need this book!! 3 kids in 4 years & my organizational skills have been tossed to the wayside.
Glynnis, I have been following your blog since the beginning of the year, and yet, I have done nothing to organize my home or mind. I would love, love, love to get on board with this study and start to make lasting changes. Thanks!
I’m so glad you put your link in there! The online study sounds great, but on my computer the links did not work. Thanks! And I always love the emails you send – thank you for the work you do!
Wow this is great. I love the sense of community you can create through technology like this. Thank you for creating this medium to learn and share with others! Definitely something I am going to bookmark and share with friends. Thanks!!
Perfect timing! I recently started a home based/direct marketing business. Part of my plan to reach my goal is to spend 30 minutes a day empowering myself with self improvement books and/or activity. I’ll be killIng two birds with one stone with this study!
Want this study, but already feel overwhelmed at the thought of more work associated with getting and staying organized.
. With a packrat husband who wants to leave EVERYTHING on the kitchen table until he needs it and who likes to move every couple of years and a packrat, messy daughter who has returned to the nest with two children aged 3 years and 3 months, an organized home would be wonderful. Is it attainable? Here’s hoping I can win the book, do the study, and become organized.
Earlier this year I took the MADE TO CRAVE (by Lysa TerKurst) online study with Melissa and the truths I garnered out of it were so amazing and I am learning how to apply them to my life…what a bonus it will be to get organized as I continue my mental, physical and spiritual journey craving GOD! You ladies (Melissa, Lysa and Glynnis) are crown jewels of the KING! Continue doing what you do…and enjoy the summer!
Oh help! I have never been organized and have gotten so tired of the clutter and not being able to find what I am looking for. I am having a garage sale next Saturday to try and de-clutter but even with all that stuff going I still have way too much. Hopefully, I will be able to be organized enough to do this bible study.
I have been meaning to get your book since January–I am SO ready to get my organized life back!! Thank you for all of the encouragement that you provide! I can’t wait for this study.
I at least used to be more organized…. never my strongest suit but a marriage, work from home job and 2 kids later….. I need help with that area.
I have started some organization , even donating some of my stuff, but I still get a bit overwhelmed with the task before me.
The book title descibes me many years ago. Now I have resorted to the thought that I will organize “someday”, but it never seems to happen. I do need this Bible study.
Thank you so much.
The title alone describes me so much! With two little ones home with me (I’m a teacher), we’re stuggling to find a new routine.
Sounds like a great study.
Count me in!!!
This study calls me! I have wanted to read this book since I started following your blog. Now I have good reason to. Thanks for sharing this great study.
Would like to win a copy of your book. I am trying to focus on de-cluttering my home so I can focus on family and spending time in a Bible study
Sounds fantastic! With my oldest going into his senior year, my youngest going into kindergarten & a middle one in middle school…I NEED to be orgainzed! Overwhemlmed does not even begin to describe it.
I am so excited about this study!! The timing is perfect as I’ve just gotten out of school for the summer!
I have yet to find my groove since having a baby late last year… I could so use a total organizational makeover!!
This study is quite timely for me. I am looking forward to it!
I just started looking today for a Bible study and now I’ve found one! How exciting!
Thank you so much for sharing this wonderful opportunity. Organization is different for every one, and in some areas of my life I do fairly well. However others tend to look like a tornado went through it.
I am ready for this Bible Study! I too used to be so very organized, but then work, children, and the next thing you know – we cannot park a vehicle in our 2 car garage!
Yikes! What happened here! Looking forward to the study, and hoping my daughter will join me, as she is off from teaching this summer.
I often say that I have a life long dream to be organized! I do really well for a while, and then “life happens” again. I would love more insight!
I am looking forward to this study of your book over the summer. As a momma of 3 young adult sons, 2 in college and 1in high school, that I homeschooled until high school, and housemom to 12 social or financially needy middle school boys that live with us I have to be extremely organized. Our lives are filled with structure and organization -but -there is always room for improvement! If I am not careful I can find that my need for organization will hinder my relational time with all the loved ones in my life. My husband is an ordained pastor and is currently back in college studing psychology and christian counseling. My life is abundantly full and while my ladies bible study at my church takes a break over the summer this looks like a terrific study right up my alley!
YAY!
I’d love to win copy of your book. I’m desperately in need of some order to the chaos around here. Thanks.
Would love to read your book!
This sounds great. This year my oldest started kindergarten and I can’t keep up with all of the papers and things to sign and return to school! Plus working part time, I can’t survive without being organized. But, despite my best intentions, I find it really hard to maintain any organization that I start. This sounds great. I’ll also be missing my ladies Bible study over the summer.
I’ve needed to get organized for quite a while now. This will be just the boost I need. Thanks for offering this study. Looking forward to it!
First of all…Hi and thank you so much for doing this study…I am really looking forward to it. 2nd of all…
Why do I want to do this study??? Well…to answer that you must ask…….
What part of my life do I need to get organized……Oh boy, where do I start??? Is that a trick question or what??? LOL Anyone/everyone who knows me knows that I have the biggest heart AND along with that goes the BIGGEST unorganized mess of a life Unfortuantly I have always been (all 52 yrs of my life) a bit of a “cyclone”. I can honestly say that in the last several yrs (I was diag. with Lyme Disease) approx 3 yrs ago, I have gotten a smiggen better. I have truly tried….but as the old saying goes its hard to teach old dogs new tricks…so with that being said even through I have done several of these online Bible Studies through Proverbs 31 I jumped for joy when I saw this one advertized! I am really looking forward to it. Being sick, times have gotten harder. I am only able to work a few days a week now (but still feel blessed that I can even do that) so I would love to win one of the books (and conference calls). But, I would also like to add, that if you find posts that say they can not afford the book or can’t do the study without winning a book please give it to them….I will always find a way to get the book….The Lord hasn’t let me down yet…..God Bless and I look forward to studing with ALL of you…. Blessing Karen
To be organized and clutter free is my desire….thanks for being my answer to prayer!!!
Between caring for two young boys and working full time, I often find myself wondering where the organized “me” disappeared to… I’m pretty sure I left her somewhere in 2004! I’m looking forward to what you have for me in this study, because I believe that any ideas for organizing my life will enable me to better focus my mind on what truly counts: my family and my walk with God. Thank you!
I wish that I could say “I used to be so organized”, but I can’t in all honesty! Looking forward to the hope that that is possible for me. It would be so freeing and open me up to creativity that I so long for. Disorganization saps energy and steals time from doing the things that God really has for me to do. Would love a book!
This book looks really good. I try to be organized, but can’t always maintain it.
I can’t wait until I can get the money to buy and read this book. I love your blog and look forward to the good tips that I know I will find in the book.
Wonderful giveaway. Count me in! I will head to Melissa blog and check out the study.
I have been putting off so many things lately and since my job follows the school schedule, I am looking forward to having the summer off! I have been wanting to read this book for a while and can’t wait to do this study with all of you!
LOL…funny how God put this in my lap today. Let me tell you why. It was a normal trip to Walmart before getting back home so my teen daughter could go to work. We put the bags in the trunk and shut it and ready to get in and head home. ONLY…I had no keys! I JUST had them to open the trunk and thought perhaps my daughter grabbed them wanting to drive home. NOPE! Guess where they were?! Yep…in the trunk!
So I called my mom and asked her if she would drive over to my house, had to explain where the spare key was hidden and then right where the spare keys were in the house. She found the key to get inside and then….YEP…this is where I’m laughing now….NO spare keys where they are to be hanging! So I sent her on a mission in every room looking for them…and in the phone conversation I could hear in her reply of “OH MY!” and “OH MY goodness…you want me to lift everything OFF the table to look for it? And…”Oh…I spell your pets!”…I heard her say without using words is…”what on earth happened to you…you used to be so organized and the house used be spotless!” Because of course this is how her house is and always has been including when I was growing up…we are talking a perfectionist! So, not only was I upset because she couldn’t find them in my mess, but I could here her disapproval or disappointment in the way my house looks, and my daughter would be late for work and had to call her boss and explain to him why! UGH! I felt at a complete loss and prayed for God to help me to unclutter my life! I did used to be organized and got bills paid on time, birthday card mailed on time and everything had its place. Then I went back to college and got my teaching endorsements over ten years ago and that is when I lost IT and have not been able to find IT again. This is the summer that changes! My daughter graduates next year and I don’t want to be stressed out getting ready for it and I want to be able to find her things to be on display etc! We moved to where I teach almost six years ago and I still have boxes and totes in the attic and basement that have not been gone through! THIS would be a perfect time for me to start with your book and following along with this Bible study. God meant for me to see this email and click on your site…this is one of HIS Godincidences…not a coincidence!
So, I hope this put a smile on your face….and oh…I finally had to call a locksmith to come and help me! A costly mistake! So, I am off now to go find those keys…hmmmm where do I start?!
Blessings!
Lisa G.
So excited about this study !!!!
My bestfriend got so much from your study about a year ago and every now and then she will forward things from your blog that hit home for her. Today I was rereading an article you wrote entitled “It’s Getting Harder to Make Friends.” From there I jumped to your blog and see you are doing the study on Being Organized. That is something I can use in my life. My 2 young boys are busy with a variety of activities, my husband is self employed and needs help from me at times, I work part time, and am going back to school. I want God to be the center of it all and to keep my home running somewhat smoothly and live in a clean, sane environment. This is a timely study for me! Thank you!
How exciting. Perfect timing.
Donna
Thank you for always being sensitive about what the Holy Spirit is leading you to share and not holding back parts that He is asking you to use for His glory. Our enemy likes to make us believe that we are the only ones struggling! I am very eager to see what God reveals as we walk through this study!
I am glad to be able to have a study on organizing. I am knee deep in disorganized chaos and need some help getting back on track.
THANK you for writing this book! So excited to start learning how to be a better organized person in ALL aspects of life!
This will be just what I need this summer. I love your blog Glynnis. I’m really looking forward to the Bible Study.
This sounds great!! just what I’m in need of. I’m in the middle of re-organizing my creative space, I’m at the part that i struggle with, organizing the supplies, lol.
but my diorganization dosen’t stop there, it’s every where, most of all in my head!
Thankyou!!!
As a military wife preparing for our 7th move in 8 years you would think I would be organized, but I am feeling so unorganized! I am finding it harder each move to unpack all the boxes knowing I will have to repack them again soon. I look forward to your book and this study.
I am so excited for this study!! The book title reminds of the title of my life story…I used to be organized as a stay at home mom for 16 yrs. but after that God called me out of the home to be a preschool teacher. So now as I kiss my family good bye in the mornings I also kiss my organized house, Pastor’s wife duties and after school family activities good bye. Looking forward to seeing my life get organized again!!
My goal this summer is to finally get organized! It is a long road and that book would help so much!! I’m also hoping to teach my children good habits early so they are never in the position I’m in now!
